About Me

I’ve been painting for many years, drawn to visual storytelling that blends reality with imagination. My artistic journey has been shaped through dedicated practice, education, and a deep curiosity for art—especially the surreal and abstract. Each piece I create invites a second look, offering layered meanings and subtle details that emerge over time.

I work primarily in acrylic on canvas, with a focus on texture, mood and the balance between control and spontaneity. I believe that art should evoke something unspoken—an echo of memory or a fleeting impression and I aim to capture those moments in my work. I am an Exhibiting Member of the Canadian Federation of Artists.

Artist Statement

I explore the intersection of memory and mystery—transforming fragments of the familiar into textured, dreamlike spaces. Working primarily with acrylic on canvas, I let the medium guide me, balancing structure with spontaneity. My influences range from surrealism to geometric abstraction, and I often layer images to reveal hidden narratives that ask the viewer to slow down and look again.

Creative Process

Like tournament chess preparation, my studio practice is intuitive, but deliberate. I often begin with colour or form, building each piece in stages that allow space for the unexpected. The process is quiet, immersive—and deeply personal. Many of my works begin with fragments of imagery and anticipation, and evolve into full compositions over time.
